Free writing/Quick write

Today we did a free write we had 30 minutes to write anything you wanted.But there had to be "As" in it this is mine.

As her long brown hair swirls side to side you can feel the air brush past you as she glides her way thru the traffic caused by people. She walks past with her head down still thinking about what just happened. Her eyes are as glossy as a new shiny green metallic car whizzing thru the town. She's wearing a cheap new shirt that has a mustache on it with ripped shorts at the bottom as people stare her eyes balls began to water like a glass ball that was polished to the death. The tears drag down her face like a weight on top of my eyes. As she gets to her destination she orders a steamy black coffee as she sits down and glares at it she can see her salty tears dripping into her into her coffee and stares blankly into the dark coffee.As she slurps it she can feel the warmness touching her delicate lips with freshly applied watermelon lip balm. When she takes her last and final sip she can see a girl with blond hair with shimmering blue crystal eyes. As i look up from the coffee i can see her beautiful eyes staring at me i glance and smile. She looks at me and laughs and says “are you alright” i fake smile and say “Sure”. She grins and walks off with her hands on her hips.I stand up and walk off with my head down grinning as if i just died but really i did.

This story is about a guys Baron Von Spanner that's challenges this old guy to a challenge the winner takes all and the loser will never invent again. IN the last round Von Spanner invents a big red button and they had to try work it out but they didn't know so they went to grandpa sids office and made heaps of red buttons and put them all over town so he wouldn't know which one it is. Then he had one chance to search for the button and press it once he pressed it it was the wrong one. Then he got a call from the mayor and told him to clean it up then dashed out of town

Just like grandpa Sid:He’s mean and think he’s better than him and likes to win everything likes to show off.

Poi

Poi- Make it By Caitlin & Tessa

Poi ingredients

Wool x3 different colours (Tess)

Plastic bags (Caitlin)

Scissors school provided

Sellotape school provided

First

you get some wool about the length of your forearm (from your elbow to your middle finger tip).This will make a short poi. If you want to make a long poi, the length of the wool should be from your shoulder to the tip of your middle finger. You will need six strands of wool

Second

Next you tie a knot at one end and then you do a 3 plait starting from the knot. Make sure when you finish plaiting you knot the other end leaving enough strands of wool to tie around the ball of stuffing.

Third

Grab a bunch of stuffing and scrunch it up into a ball about the size of a fist. Put the leftover strands around the ball of stuffing and tie the strands to hold the ball in place.

Fourth

Then put the plastic bag over the stuffing and gather it at the last knot you made and tie with wool or string to hold it together.

Fifth

Trim the plastic beneath the tie.

Sixth

To finish off wrap sellotape around the tie.

Summer Gone Right

Summer gone right

As the car made its final stop i dashed out with my towel lagging behind me try not to trip up. I can feel the sand carrying me in with it.I position myself for my summer tan. My parents come out and yell sunblock! I grone and apply the white Sloppy cream as it starts to mold  into my skin.Finally as i Scamper into the water and pretend i'm tumblr running into the water in slow motion and run back cause it's too cold.

Free writing task

In writing we have been doing workshops. I'm in miss robertson's workshop. For this writing we had to write a normal story and if she said something we had to put it in our writing. This is mine that i did.

Here we are at the baby shower i drag my feet to the table to grab a snack and run my hand across it, it was as soft as bread. I pick up some grapes and hear a whisper from my mum reminding me to say thank you to my sister for everything.I go outside and go sit by the huge tree in the backyard and start to write a story.As my dreams wander off the pages i can see it all coming to life

Science

In Science we Have been learning about matter there are three kinds of matter there are gas,liquid and a solid. Matter is a very important thing in life because matter makes up everything around us.Matter can not be created or destroyed it just transforms into a different form.You and i and the whole world are made of matter, and live and move by using energy.Here is a video of what matter is if you still are a little confused Click Here

Boy in the stripped pyjamas

For this term did literacy circles and our group choose the boy in the striped pyjamas. The book was written by John Boyne. It was a really sad but interesting story I really enjoyed reading it. It was very sad at the end. I learnt heaps of new things.The book was written on the 5th January 2006. This is what the book is about.The Boy in the Striped Pajamas Summary. In The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Bruno meets a young Jewish boy named Shmuel, a prisoner in Auschwitz. After disguising himself as a prisoner in striped pyjamas Bruno is killed along with Shmuel when they're herded into the gas chambers. If you would like to get the book out it looks like this.
